Working with Covid-19


  • As we have a relatively small showroom we can only allow a maximum of 2 sets of customers in at any one time and if it is possible to limit this to one person it would be appreciated.
  • All customers entering the showroom with the exception of young children and people exempt on medical grounds must wear a face mask at all times.
  • All enquiries relating to making appointments or checking the progress on an order should be done via e-mail or phone call in the first instance. Please only come into the showroom if you want to look at samples or discuss options.
  • We will be providing hand sanitiser for customers to use upon entering and exiting the showroom.
  • Please maintain at least 2 metres distance from the member of staff at all times who will most likely remain towards the back of the shop to allow you to walk around the rest of the shop. They may move to point out samples or swap books over for you so please allow them time to move back away before having a closer look.
  • Once customers have left the showroom the surfaces, blind samples and books used will be cleaned down before the next customer is allowed in. Please allow time for this to happen if you are waiting outside.


  • In the interest of minimising contact between people quotes can be given over the phone or via e-mail if the rough sizes can be supplied. These can be based on a mid-range fabric range or a price ‘to and from’ basis whichever if preferred.
  • These quotations are intended to be a guide as a site survey and exact measurements need to be taken before any exact quotations can be provided. This also applies to the suitability of a product in any given window.
  • In order for us to provide as much information to you as possible in the quotation we would ask for the following information:

o Recess measurements for all windows/doors

o Pictures of the windows/doors

o Type of blinds required at each window/door


Home Measuring

  • When making an appointment initially some details will be obtained to speed up the process and limit face to face contact within the home.
  • Only 1 member of staff will attend to measure and a minimum of 2 metres distance will be required at all times. On some occasions where there are large or high windows/doors it may require 2 members of staff which we will inform you about in advance.
  • All staff members will sanitise their hands before entry and during the home visit and the customer will be asked to wash their hands and sanitise prior to touching any samples. Where possible we will show you samples from a safe distance however understand this is not possible with all types of samples.
  • Please ensure all internal doors are opened where possible and furniture & window sills are cleared so immediate access can be gained to the window. If a room can be ventilated prior to our arrival this would also help.
  • Once measurements have been obtained, we would request that any further discussions or sample viewing could be carried out outdoors or in a larger well ventilated room if possible.
  • We are unable to offer any home measuring appointments to the following people:

o People who have shown signs of the virus or live with anybody who has shown signs in the last 14 days.

o People who have recently returned from at risk countries and are expected to complete the 10 days quarantine period.


  • Only 1 member of staff will carry out the installation of blinds unless advised when the appointment is made.
  • They will sanitise hands upon arrival and do so during the time they are in the home.
  • All furniture should be moved and window sills cleared to allow immediate access to the windows where the blinds are to be fitted.
  • Doors should be left open to the rooms required and where possible a window opened to allow for ventilation.
  • Household members should be kept to a minimum and ideally in separate rooms to where the work is being carried out. If this is not possible then a minimum of 2 metres distance should be adhered to at all times.

If at any point a member of staff is made to feel uncomfortable either in the showroom or on an appointment in the home they have the right to end the appointment and leave until it can be resolved.


  • Deposits need to be paid before any blinds will be manufactured. This will take the place of the usual signature and confirm you are happy for the order to go ahead. No deposits can be refunded as all products are made to measure and therefore incur costs from the first cut.
  • Balances need to be paid on or before the day of installation.
  • Payments can be processed on site through our portable card machine and require no contact from the customer. Alternatively if you would prefer to pay by bank transfer this must be done before the installation time slot for balances. Please use the surname the order was placed in or first line of the address as a reference.
